Janet Troy

 

Janet Troy was born and raised in Pittsburgh, PA. She spent the second chapter of her life in Cincinnati, OH before moving to Ashland in 2009.

Janet’s first professional job after college was with the Western Pennsylvania School for Blind Children. Later she worked as a program director for a human services organization in Northern Kentucky. That position introduced Janet to fundraising. A job opportunity with the Good Samaritan Hospital Foundation in Cincinnati convinced her that hospital fundraising was her way to make a difference in the world and serve others.

Janet received her Certified Fund Raising Executive (CFRE) designation in 2007, earned a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Pittsburgh and a Master of Education degree from Xavier University in Cincinnati, OH.

Janet joined Ashland Community Hospital Foundation in June 2009. As Executive Director, she is responsible for securing and stewarding philanthropic support for Asante Ashland Community Hospital, working closely with the Foundation Board of Directors, hospital leadership and staff.

Since her arrival, Janet has led the Board and staff through three strategic planning efforts, strengthened the focus on fundraising and implemented a comprehensive fund development program. Prior to the hospital’s affiliation with Asante in 2013, Janet managed the marketing and communications function for the hospital as well.

Janet has been a resident of Talent since 2011. She serves as Secretary of the Ashland Rotary Club and a member of the Board of Directors for the Ashland chapter of AAUW.
