Erin Deason Carpenter

Erin Deason Carpenter joined CASA as Development Manager for Jackson and Josephine counties in July 2014.  Born and raised in the Rogue Valley, Erin attended Oregon State University before transferring to Eckerd College in St. Petersburg, Florida where she graduated in 1995 with a BA in Creative Writing and Minor in Visual Art.  She returned home to Oregon and moved to Portland where she met her husband, Barry.  In 2001, Erin and Barry returned to Medford and Erin joined the Marketing and Community Relations Department at Providence Medford Medical Center.  In 2003, she was promoted to Special Events Coordinator for Providence Community Health Foundation and spent the next eleven years coordinating the signature Providence Festival of Trees event in addition to other fundraising and donor recognition events.

Erin was first introduced to CASA of Jackson County while researching and creating a new event for Providence Festival of Trees called “An Evening of Giving” in 2009, an event that was established to give low-income children and their families a holiday experience they would otherwise not have.  Erin’s life was forever changed after the initial meeting with CASA, learning of so many children in the foster care system and the many challenges they experienced in their young lives.  Her dedication and belief in CASA continued to grow over the years and she was thrilled to have the opportunity to officialy join the CASA team as the Development Manager.

Erin and Barry live in Medford with their two daughters, Lauren (age 11) and Paige (age 9).
