Program Funding Areas:
The Dubs Foundation strives to empower youth; promote mentally, physically and spiritually healthy families; and inspire the love of wilderness areas. To accomplish this grants are awarded in 4 primary focus areas:
- Wilderness Areas – Increase the love of the American people for the wilderness areas of North America and the world, and assist in the correct use, conservation, and preservation of wilderness areas.
- Sportsmanship – Promote good sportsmanship in the legal hunting of game animals.
- Young People – Promote good mental, moral and physical health of young people.
- Basic Needs – Provide basic necessities for those in need.
Geographic Area Served by Grants:
Currently there are no hard boundary lines surrounding our geographic focus of giving. Top priority will be given to applications from rural communities who support and encourage an active outdoor lifestyle. No grants will be awarded to large metropolitan communities such as Portland, OR and the surrounding areas.

Program support, project support and capital improvement projects.
Do you fund general operating costs for non-profits? If so, under what conditions?
The Foundation does award general operating grants. No special conditions or requirements are required for a general operating grant at this time.

The Foundation has an online application process. The link to online grant management system is located on the Grant Application page of the Foundation website. The window of opportunity to apply for funding is January 1st to midnight on April 1 st annually. Final grant decisions are generally announced in June.
