Depends on grant program, but most of OCF’s competitive grant programs do not fund general operating support. Advised funds often provide operating support, but they are not open to application. Endowment Partner funds can provide operating support for the
In the Community Grants program (our most competitive grant program) operating support is rare and is for a temporary need.
Depends on the grant program. For Community Grants, the broadest program, deadlines are January 15 and July 15 – lots of information on the website under the grants tab.

Community foundations differ from private foundations, and OCF is more complex than many of the funders participating in ONLC. This can be confusing, so just ask if you have a question – it’s completely understandable. I’m happy to help.
